Lifestyle & Downtime:

Status: IN PLANNING (Prequel Phase Underway)

Right now, in the prequel and planning phase, the clock is ticking and free time is short. But the moment my boots hit the ground on Cape Breton Island and the real work begins, this page is going to transform.

This project is built on two unyielding pillars: relentless, hard work and serious, uninterrupted downtime to actually enjoy life’s finer moments.

The Ambient Sanctuary (Zero Talking, Pure Nature)

When I step away from the heavy equipment and the sawmill, the cameras don’t stop—but the talking does. For our fishing, boating, and trail-riding excursions, we dump the standard, loud YouTube vlog format completely.

Instead, we deploy a multi-camera field setup powered by off-grid solar generators and streaming architectures to capture the raw, unedited environment. You will experience:

  • The crisp sound of a fishing line cutting through the coastal wind.
  • Cinematic, low-altitude drone sweeps across the Cape Breton waterways.
  • The rhythmic, natural ASMR of harvesting seaweed on the shoreline for our composting systems.
  • Pure, high-fidelity nature sounds with zero intrusive voiceovers.

People go fishing for peace and quiet. Our downtime content respects that. Whether we are trail-riding with friends or sitting around a roaring evening fire pit, these videos are designed to let you escape the concrete jungle right alongside us.

Building the Local Crew

As this channel gains traction and the AdSense revenue scales, the operation scales with it. This is a 100% independent project, but I don’t intend to build a legacy homestead completely alone at 65.

Our long-term blueprint includes hiring a self-employed, local helper and a weekend media assistant—ideally pulling talent straight from the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) network. By bringing on a skilled local hand to manage field cameras, assist with streaming captures, and another to help anchor the heavy log cabin builds, we ensure the production value stays elite while supporting the local Nova Scotia economy.

Hard work. Welcome rest. Real Life!
